That's a wrap! WFTV Mentee 2018
This week was the final official gathering of the WFTV Mentee 2018 group as we came to the end of our six month scheme.
Our day long session gave us a chance for us to both reflect and celebrate how far we have come; the goals we have achieved and think about what we want aim towards over the next 12 to 18 months. For some it was an emotional experience reliving the highs and lows, for others it was a celebration that they had left their former selves behind.
Having been through this scheme together has really bonded us all. We have bared our souls and shared our goals and now as we embark on the next stage of our journey together, we know we have a sisterhood to support and encourage all the way.
Personally the scheme has made me much more assertive and driven and provided me with a huge sense of perspective on my career. I might still not know what I want to be when I grow up but I most definitely feel I have network and know how to get there.
From the book groups to the fortnightly seminars, from Cannes Film Festival to Sheffield Doc Fest , I have done and learned so much that even though the scheme has officially reached its end, for me it has only served to strengthen my resolve for more personal development.
I like who I have become over the course of this scheme so no looking back now!
